FNS Approves Additional ZIP Code for Iberia DSNAP

08.25.16 - The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) received approval late this afternoon from the federal Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) for an additional ZIP code in Iberia Parish impacted by recent floods to be added to the first phase of Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (DSNAP).
Tangipahoa SNAP Recipients Approved for Automatic Disaster-Related Benefits

08.25.16 - The federal Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) has approved Tangipahoa Parish Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients for automatic disaster-related benefits. SNAP recipients residing in Tangipahoa parish will not need to complete signed affidavits in order to receive disaster benefits. These benefits will be automatically loaded onto the Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards no later than August 26th.

08.25.16 - The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) received approval today from the federal Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) for additional ZIP codes in Pointe Coupee Parish that were impacted by recent floods to be added to the first phase of Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (DSNAP).
SNAP Clients may be Eligible for Disaster Related Benefits

08.23.16 -Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients who reside in an impacted area and suffered an adverse effect or food loss may request supplemental or replacement benefits. The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) has received approval from the federal Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) for nine parishes to receive automatic disaster supplements for SNAP and 11 parishes to receive automatic replacement SNAP benefits.
East Feliciana Parish ZIP Code 70789 Added to Phase One of DSNAP

08.23.16 - The federal Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) has approved an additional ZIP code for the Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (DSNAP) beginning today, through Saturday, August 27. Residents living in East Feliciana Parish ZIP code 70789 and who were impacted by the flooding are now eligible to apply for the Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (DSNAP).
More than 7,000 Households Receive Disaster Food Assistance on First Day of DSNAP Operation

08.23.16 - The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) issued more than $2.8 million in disaster food benefits to 7,062 households who applied for Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (DSNAP) aid in eight parishes Monday, August 22.

08.21.16 - Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) clients who have lost their Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card due to the flooding may make food purchases at authorized retailers using their EBT card number, as long as they also know their account PIN.
